December 13, 2020, is the 7th National Memorial Day for Nanjing Massacre Victims. At 10 a.m., nearly 1000 people, including school leaders, teacher and student representatives, participated in the commemorative activity held at the playground on Lingang Campus, which was presided over by Feng Jinzhang, the vice president of the university.

Under the escort of national flag guard, the bright five-star red flag rose up slowly. Then harsh sirens sounded afterwards, and thousands of teachers and students bowed their heads in silence to express their deep sorrow for the dead compatriots. Weng Peifen pointed out in his speech that this activity is not only condolences to the martyrs, but a call for all teachers and students to yearn for and adhere to peace. The first item of the school’s motto is “patriotism”. So it’s necessary to implement actions in the patriotic education and instruct students to remember the history and revitalize the country.

In addition, the school also presented 29 historical pictures of Nanjing Massacre in crowded places to help students and teachers learn the tragic event more directly.
