Zero Breakthrough—SUEP Has Been Approved the Qualification of “Thermal Power” Simulation Training Base of National Power Industry

On November 26, the 2018 National Electric Power Simulation Training Meeting of All Committee Members was held in Hubei Province. After series of links such as school declaration, campus inspection, conference defense and expert voting, the China Electricity Council granted our school the Thermal Power Simulation Training Base of National Power Industry. Bai Junwen, the full-time secretary-general of China Electric Education Association, awarded the license to Xiao Yong, the vice president of Continuing Education College, who attended the meeting on behalf of SUEP.

This marks that our school has formally joined the “WTO” of electric power industry training, obtaining the qualification of training and issuing certificates independently, and that the hardware conditions, training system, procedures and standards for the energy and power industry training in our school have been recognized by the industry and won its own registered trademark. SUEP achieved the zero breakthrough in the qualification of industry base, and it is the result of promoting comprehensive reform within the university, breaking the barriers between colleges, and realizing the powerful combination of them.

The fact that SUEP was awarded the license is helpful to improve the strength and depth of our school's service for production training of national thermal power enterprises, to increase the authority and recognition of our school’s personnel training for the power generation enterprises in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road, and to enhance the cultivation level and employment competitiveness of our school’s applied energy and power undergraduates.
