SUEP Won the Shanghai Outstanding Achievements Prize for Philosophy and Social Sciences for the First Time

    On the morning of November 14, the Awarding Ceremony of the 14th Shanghai Outstanding Achievements Prize for Philosophy and Social Sciences and the 16th (2018) Academic Annual Conference of the Shanghai Social Sciences were held on the 3rd floor of Youyi Hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center. Commissioned by Shanghai Municipal People’s Government under the leadership of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Prize is awarded every two years to those people who have made landmark achievements in the field of philosophy and social sciences in Shanghai, and it’s also the highest award in the field in Shanghai.

    The paper, On the Cultural Identity Mechanism of Socialist Core ValuesCultivation written by Zhang Zongfeng and Jiao Yamin, teachers from the College of Marxism of our school, won the second prize of Award for Socialist Theory with Chinese Characteristics (Papers). The article not only provides a new perspective for academic research on basic theory, but makes distinctive research achievements. This is the first time that our school has won the Prize, marking a new step in the theoretical research of philosophy and social sciences.
