The Kick-off Meeting of the Program Delegated to SUEP by National Energy Administration Was Held on Yangpu Campus

     On November 5th, the kick-off meeting of the Program Research on Quantitative Model for Power Grid Security Risk AssessmentResearch on Active Defense System for Large Power Grids (I), which is delegated to the school’s Electric Power Security Technology Research Center by the National Energy Administration, was held on Yangpu Campus. Zhang Yangmin, the deputy director of the Electric Power Security Supervision Department of National Energy Administration, Li Hexing, president of the school, and Wei Ping, the deputy chief of the East China Energy Regulatory Bureau of National Energy Administration attended the meeting. Five expertsSenior Engineer Mei Yong from Power Dispatching Control Center of China South Power Grid, Engineer Wu Jie from Shanghai Electric Power Company, Zhang Shaoqing, the vice president of Huadian Electric Power Research Institute, Li Xia, the deputy chief of Electric Power Reliability Management Center of China Electric Council, and Zhang Lie, the deputy director of Relay Protection Department of China Electric Power Research Institutewere invited to participate the meeting. Related people from SUEP were also present at the meeting, including Zhou Zhen, the deputy chief of Scientific Research and Development Office, Xie Jingdong, the deputy director of the Office, Professor Wu Jie, leader of the program, and some teachers fromElectrical Engineering College, Economics and Management College and Automation Engineering College. The meeting was presided over by Yang Ning, dean of Automation Engineering College.

     Li Hexing extended a warm welcome to Mr. Zhang and the other people, and comprehensively introduced the development of the school in the near future, especially the construction of Three Centers and One Think Tank and the Science Innovation Center. On behalf of the Electric Power Security Technology Center, Wu Jie briefed the thoughts on the program. Yi Su, from the Electric Power Security Supervision Department of National Energy Administration, provided information about the research background and main objectives of the program. The five experts introduced the application of risk control technology, and the work they did about power grid security. Wei Ping affirmed the significance of the project and said that they will actively cooperate with the Center to successfully complete the program.

    Zhang Yangmin fully affirmed the Center’s thoughs on the program, and for the follow-up work, he asked the research group to attach great importance to the program, and promote the application of research results in practical production. Finally, he expressed the hopes that the Center could undertake more research tasks of the Energy Administration in the future on the basis of this program.
