SUEP Invited to Attend “Belt and Road” International Conference on Wind Power Cooperation

        As a supporting meeting on energy cooperation of the second “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation in China, the “Belt and Road” International Conference on Wind Power Cooperation was held by China New Energy International Alliance on April 24, and SUEP was invited to attend the conference.

        Representatives from relevant international organizations and enterprises engaged in the meeting, such as Embassy of Spain in China, Embassy of Netherlands in China, international business departments (companies) of domestic power generation and power construction groups, new energy (clean energy) equipment manufacturing enterprises, and so on. Based on the principle of “co-consultation, co-construction and sharing” adhered by the Belt and Road Initiative, with the pursuit of mutual benefit and a win-win situation, the conference, characterized by openness and inclusiveness, discussed the policy measures, investment and financing models used to promote the further development of the wind power industry in the countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, shared some typical cases in international wind power cooperation, and looked ahead to the new opportunities and ways to promote the international cooperation. To improve the training of international wind power talents, the conference also stressed the close unity among domestic enterprises, financing institutions, trade associations and training institutions.

       Cheng Guixue, the deputy director of Shanghai Education and Communication Center of Green Energy, delivered a keynote speech on behalf of SUEP at the conference. Guests from home and abroad spoke highly of the achievements made by SUEP in the cultivation of international talents, construction of bridgehead, and research for offshore wind power. In the end, SUEP was invited by the conference organizers to conduct deep discussions with the Secretariat of China New Energy International Alliance in terms of the research of international wind power, the promotion of research results and the cultivation of international talents.
